Peter Murray, MD, on the right, is the new President of the American Association of Hand SurgeryAAHS) . He is with A. Lee Dellon, MD, PhD, a member of the AAHS. Dr. Murray holds in his left hand the announcement of the new Workshop to be held at the Mayo Clinic in August of 2017 to train surgeons to do Partial Joint Denervation of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee and ankle. These are surgeries developed by Dr. Dellon and will be first Workshop of this type ever offered. Each registrant will learn to do these surgeries on both an upper and lower extremity cadaver specimen. Dr. Dellon’s Peripheral Nerve partners from Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Eric Williams, and from Henderson, Nevada, Dr. Tim Tollestrup,will be Instructors in the workshop. Co-directors of the Workshop will be from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. Richard Berger, MD, PhD (Orthopedic Hand Surgery) and Dr. Robert Spinner, MD (Chief of Neurosurgery).
