Shao-min Shi, MD, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee

Shao-min Shi, MD, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, presents his work on Knee Denervation at the The Chinese Orthopedic National Joint Surgery Meeting for the Chinese Association of Orthopedic Surgery in Tianjin, China on September 3, 2017. Dr. Shi used Dr. A. Lee Dellon’s approach to partial knee joint denervation on 50 patients who had a previous total knee replacement, but who still had knee pain and inability to walk normally. At 2 years after that surgery, the average pain level dropped from 9.4 to 1.1, with 60% having excellent results and 20% having good results from the surgery. That research is published in the Journal of Arthroplasty in 2016.
